Inspired by my aerial photography series “Tulip Fields” (2016). The photographs served only as inspiration.

“In my photographic work, I have repeatedly been inspired by abstract painters in my search for motifs. Since traveling and organizing photo flights were difficult during the pandemic, I began to paint free-form abstract images myself, including some related to my series, such as the photographs of containers and Bremerhaven. It was a great experience for me and reinforced my deep respect for abstract painters and artists who created wonderful images solely from their own imagination.”
