Ltd, Japan. “Phantasma” belongs to the series based on the epic work by Takashi Murakami “The 500 Arhats”. This massive painting of 100 meters long, takes the works of Kano Kazunobu and Nagasawa Rosetsu’s “The five hundred Arhats” as a reference. Even though these renowned artists from the Edo period depicted the Arhats too, they did it in such a different way, while Kazunobu created 100 scroll paintings, Rosetsu used a silk fabric of 3.1 x 3.1 cm as a canvas.
