“Drink My Tears” is a reflection of quiet intimacy and emotional exposure. In this work, I painted a woman’s profile melting into abstract flows of indigo, violet, and red—a storm of feelings held just beneath the skin.

A single blue tear falls from her eye and falls directly into a glass of wine, symbolizing how pain can be transformed into something we offer and receive. It’s an invitation and a surrender—a way of saying, “Here is my sadness, could you hold it for a moment?” The wine becomes a form of emotional alchemy, where grief is no longer hidden, but shared. I wanted to keep the lines minimal and fragile—almost like a whisper.

The red dot on her cheek is a silent wound, and the blurred pigments suggest a loss of control. This work carries the weight of vulnerability and that almost unreal closeness we can desire—when we wish someone would not just see our tears, but drink them, taste them, feel them.
