The prism of pastel

I first decided to illustrate animals, a light subject to start my larger theme.

These fascinating beings populate our collective imagination, such as the griffin, the mermaid or the phoenix, are often charged with symbolism and deep meanings and are sufficient in themselves.

Each mythical animal carries within it a story, a set of values and lessons to be passed on.

The choice of colors and geometry becomes a way to establish a link between the mythological past and the present. The soft, subtle hues of pastel colors evoke a nostalgic sensibility reminiscent of ancient frescoes and classical sculptures while offering a contemporary interpretation.
