Work prefiguring the series of “Compositions” in diamond shape. The asymmetrical diagonal crosses the composition from one edge to the other of the painting carried by the geometry of the drawing. The monochrome flat tints of blue and earth intersect around the central band highlighted with white. The background thus takes its place in the painting. Made in 1984 in oil on a cotton canvas in square format 100/100 cm it has a diamond-shaped span of 140/140. Time has left it with some small cracks.
