“I am a story (basketball)” is a polyptych by the founder of ideal abstraction, Emmanuel Pons. It is made from canvases stretched on frames, which are then glued onto a wooden structure painted white and forming part of the work (it is this structure that is signed). In the series “I am a story”, the artist caricatures himself through different stamps representing him suffering from “youthfulness” and stages crazy stories inspired by social networks. This work thus questions the importance of the sneaker and its brand in the modern world.
